The Embassy of Czechia in Seoul announces its annual “A Day with Ambassador” program, designed to offer selected university and college students the opportunity to experience the work of a senior-level diplomat.

The application is not limited to those majoring in international studies, and anyone who can communicate in English is welcome to apply.

The program offers selected university and college students the opportunity to experience the work of a senior-level diplomat.

Three selected students will visit the Czech Embassy on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, for a half‑day program introducing the mission, responsibilities, and daily operations of a diplomatic post. In addition, one grand winner will have an exclusive opportunity to accompany Ambassador Ivan Jančárek throughout his full day of activities on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, gaining first‑hand insight into diplomatic work.

 

All participants will receive a certificate from the Embassy along with small gifts from Czechia.

 

Engaging with the Czech Embassy offers young students a valuable opportunity to gain first‑hand insight into how international cooperation functions across a wide range of fields. Through dialogue with diplomats and professionals, participants can explore areas such as politics, public diplomacy, cultural exchange, education, science and innovation, economic cooperation, and people‑to‑people engagement. These discussions will help students understand the diverse ways countries build partnerships and address global challenges.

 

We hope this experience serves as a meaningful stepping stone for the next generation of global leaders, regardless of their academic background or career interests.

 

- A bachelor’s or master’s student (18 or older)

- proficient in English

- available to participate in all scheduled activities at the Embassy

- comfortable engaging with media or public communications

 

To apply, please complete the application form below. The form requires basic information about applicants as well as a short self-introduction video.

 

In the video, please include:

- A brief introduction of yourself

- Your personal connection with Czechia, such as an experience you had in Czechia or something Czech you discovered in Korea

- One Czech thing you would like to introduce to more Koreans

 

Video requirements:

- Length: 1:00 to 1:30 minutes

- Language: English

- Please note that video editing quality will not be evaluated; the substance and clarity of your content are of primary importance.

- Should you be selected as a winner, your submitted video may be used on the Embassys social media channels for promotional purposes.
