Greetings from Study Abroad Center, Ritsumeikan University.

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new short-term program, 

the Ritsumeikan Data Science Program (RDSP), which will be held on our Osaka Ibaraki Campus (OIC) from December 15 to December 19, 2025.

The program is designed for current university and graduate students who are interested in data science, generative AI, robotics, machine learning, and NLP.

All classes will be taught in English by our faculty members. Each class session is 95 minutes, and a total of six sessions are planned during the program.

The program fee is JPY 125,000 (approximately US$ 800), including a JPY 5,000 service fee.

Accommodation at the OIC Seminar House, an on-campus university facility with four-person shared rooms is included in the program fee.

In addition to the academic sessions, participants will join cultural and social exchange activities with our students.

These include a tea ceremony demonstration with matcha service by our student tea ceremony club, as well as an exchange event with our field hockey club, the current national student champion!

These activities aim to provide a close experience of Japanese student life and culture.

A completion certificate will be issued at the end of the program.

Please note that academic credit will not be awarded.

The program has been finalized and will run as scheduled.

Students may join individually, and we welcome participation from any number of your students.

The program fee does not include airfare, and no scholarships or partner-university discounts are available.

Participants are asked to arrive at the OIC Seminar House on their own and complete the check-in process themselves.
